Atlanta’s Semicircle chatted with Phian before their Dec. 18 performance at Local Band Local Beer. The group brought along their instruments and performed live versions of the songs “Movement is Calm,” “Underground River of Glass” and “Mechanism of Erasure.” All three songs are also available on their new album “Blown Breeze, Grown Grass and We are Part of the Earth.”

I got to talk to surf pop heroines DADDY ISSUES from Greensboro, North Carolina on their upcoming projects, Super Smash Bros, and the concept of “the girl band.” They played at the Edge of Urge and Lumina Clothing Grand Opening Block Party later that day, and opened at the sold out T0W3RS LP release show at Kings Barcade a week later.
