WKNC Interviews: Bombadil
Bombadil swung by WKNC for an interview with Curlz MT to talk about their Dec. 19 show at Cat’s Cradle. The Durham-based band shared their new EP, “Still Bombadil Issue #1: Score for Cell Phone, Rubber Band & Wine Glass,” talked about their music process, and discussed the culinary phenomenon of food on sticks.
DJ AJ and King Kronk welcomed West Virginia band Rozwell Kid to the WKNC studio on Nov. 17 before their show at Motoro. The band talked about their home state and its music scene, their Broken World Records label-mates and touring with Andrew Jackson Jihad.

The Shakedown Presents Frank Sinatra
Nash Roberts, of the locally based band The Shakedown, came to WKNC to speak with DJ Soulwood about his upcoming Frank Sinatra tribute performance at the Pour House on Saturday, December 12. This promises to be an incredibly fun time on Sinatra’s actual 100th birthday! Nash tells us about the cover concept that The Shakedown has adopted and their previous cover shows including Van Morrison and Bob Marley. Local Band Local Beer: Young Cardinals
Young Cardinals stopped by the studio for an interview with Phian before their performance at Tir Na Nog Irish Pub for the Local Band Local Beer series on Thursday, November 5th!
