This week we bring you a very special edition of Eye on the Triangle. It is Diversity Education Week here at NC State, and we are participating by bringing you several diversity education topics.
Each Diversity Education Week event has a password that goes with it, and when people attend the event they get the password. If you go to the DEW website and enter the passwords for two events, you are entered into a drawing for some prizes. We here at Eye on the Triangle are happy to be a part of Diversity Education Week, and your listening to this program is not only very much appreciated by everyone who contributes to making this show possible, but it does count for having attended a Diversity Education Week event. That means that we do in fact have a code for our listeners who wish to get credit and maybe win some prizes. That code is shared with listeners during the course of this week’s show, so if you’re looking to get credit for an event, give the show a listen! Once you have the code, you can redeem the credit at the Diversity Education Week website.
MSA is the acronym for the Department of Multicultural Student Affairs here at NC State. They offer a lot of services on campus, and our contributor Michaela had the chance to speak with some of the directors.
As part of Diversity Education Week, NC State is hosting its very own Islam Fair here on campus, and contributor Sara got to speak with one of the organizers. It’s something to look forward to, and should be good.
NC State’s GLBT Center is a very unique resource here on campus, and its leadership has recently changed. The new director took time out of her busy schedule to speak with us for this week’s Eye on the Triangle.
Listen to all this, plus news beyond the headlines from Sydney and our Community Calendar.
Nick Savage and the EOT crew bring you another edition of “Eye on the Triangle,” live each Tuesday at 7 p.m. on WKNC 88.1 FM and wknc.org/listen and available as a downloadable podcast.
