If you know anything about folk music in North Carolina, chances are you’ve heard of MerleFest, the annual, “traditional plus,” music festival in Wilkes County that the late great Doc Watson started in memory to his son Merle Watson. Thanks to our friends at MerleFest, WKNC is happy to announce we have 3 pairs of single days tickets, good for any day of the festival. Merlefest is held this year from April 23-26 on the campus of Wilkes Community College. A few of the big artists include The Avett Brothers, Dwight Yoakam, Bela Fleck and Abigail Washburn, The Marshall Tucker Band, Robert Earl Keen, and many, many more!
