It might be a new year, but some old things keep carrying on. A prime example would be the next edition of “DJ Dragonfly’s Favorites.”
I know this post comes a little late but these were my picks for December, I promise.
This month was a little different. Not only was I home for the break for most of the month, but my music choices have had a lot of variety I think. Some of these songs have explicit content, so fair warning to everyone.
There are many songs in this playlist that don’t surprise me as they’re along the same lines and vibes as the recent previous playlists. I think I was a little surprised to find “A Big Brown Dog Named Bagel” by Nep. This song is a very low key song, especially to start. I think I really like the bossa nova start and there’s some lyricism that brings a smile to my face, such as “I feel like we’re gonna marry way too quickly.”
Another song I think I was a little surprised to see this month would be “Acka Raga” by Shocking Blue. Now, I could go on and on and on about how cool Shocking Blue is and how much I love them but I have already done that here. This song is from the “At Home” album and it is one that is purely instrumental. The song itself makes me feel really happy and whimsical, for lack of a better term.
I hope everyone enjoys December’s collection; January will come shortly too.
